"A River Runs Through It" SOLD
This 36 x 24 fluid painting using a puddle pour method with acrylic and metallic paints with a white negative space in the center.
"Icy Waterfall"
This fluid painting on an 18 x 24 canvas has two different shades of blue, one in a metallic as well as the silver. I love the white negative space on the right and left sides. This painting dried funny on the bottom right corner with the tire looking marks, but I kinda like it.
SOLD
"Ball of Fire"
This fluid "dirty cup" painting is done on a 16x24 Gallery wrapped canvas. Strategic paint colors were added to one cup, starting with white and going in order from light to dark colors to create this effect on a black negative space canvas. I have 2 of these in stock that would look great on each side of the "Best of Both Worlds" painting on a 24 x 24 Gallery canvas. I hope you like it!
"Best of Both Worlds"
This painting is on a 24 x 24 Gallery wrap canvas. There were two dirty cup pours that I think went really well on a black negative space. I couldn't decide on which puddle I liked best so I called it the "Best Of Both Worlds" by Brandi Shivers This item is on display and for sale at MAC on Main, 107 Main St., Thomson, GA 30824.
"Abstract Flag"
This painting is on a 16 x 20 inch canvas. A pouring method was used with slight tilting of the canvas. No, there are not 50 stars because I didn't have enough room, but I get the point across. The red and white lines remind me of a flag blowing in the breeze.
SOLD
"Angel Trumpets"
This painting is on a 16 x 20 inch canvas with a red background and negative space. The method of painting this was done by dipping string into black and white paint and dragging it across the canvas. I call this painting Angel Trumpets because there are a few swipes of the string that created a resemblance.
"Sunrise"
This painting in on a 16x24 canvas with a teal background. The method of creating this was a combination of string dipped in paint and pouring. Just a little experiment that I would try. Hardware installed on the back with framing wire. This painting is also varnished.
"Black Belt"
This painting is on a 16 x 20 canvas with a black negative space. Metallic paints were used in a puddle pour method then tilting the canvas.
"My Time To Shine"
This painting is on a 16 x 20 canvas with a white negative space. A puddle pour method was used with various metallic acrylic paints then tilted the canvas to move the paints around.
"Cigarette"
This painting is on a 16 x 20 canvas with a black negative space. Various acrylic colors was used to create one puddle pour, then a "flicking" method was used with a small piece of plastic, then spun out a little on a lazy susan. It looks like the end of a cigarette with smoke coming off the end. This painting is clear coated so it is ok for people to touch to feel the painting. Hardware is installed with picture framing wire on the back for easy installation. Created by: Brandi Shivers, 2018
"Fish"
This fluid painting is on a 16 x 20 canvas with a black negative space. Various acrylic colors was used to create one puddle pour, then a "flicking" method was used with a small piece of plastic, then spun out a little on a lazy susan. It looks like the tail end of a fish swimming through water at night. You can watch a YouTube video on how I made this! https://youtu.be/IvD-_9gzPPc This painting is on display for sale at MAC on Main Art Gallery at 107 Main St., Thomson, GA 30824.
"Butterfly"
This painting is on an 18 x 24 canvas with a dark purple negative space. A "sloppy cup" or "dirty cup pour" was created with various acrylic metallic paints in small shot glass cups, 4 total. Cups were flipped and drug around the canvas upside down and moved in a controlled way to keep butterfly wing shape, then tilted a little. After the wings dried, I added the center part of the butterfly. While I was varnishing it outside, a bug got stuck to the canvas so I thought to put his black flight pattern on the bottom. Hardware is installed in the back with framing picture wire for easy installation. Artist: Brandi Shivers
"Glowing Shell" SOLD
"Glowing Shell" has got to be one of the most interesting fluid paintings I've ever done! I used neon, glow-in-the-dark lime green as the background and negative space. I used the Golden Brand of paint for the red and I think that when the lime green met the red it reacted crazy but I love it. The shell looks like it has barnacles on the shell. I used a "dirty flip cup" method pouring out in circular motions. When it dried, I failed to have it on a level surface so the shell kinda ran off a little on the side and it got bigger but I'm OK with that. I also just love how the paint separated more as it dried and created these crater like bumps like an actual shell has. Also, I like the way that the neon green dried on the right side but don't ask me how I did that because I have no clue. You can check out the YouTube video to see how I made this.

"Cloudy Skies" (without Silicone)
This painting is on a 20 x 20 Gallery wrapped canvas. This is one of "Cloudy Skies" without using silicone. Acrylic paints were used and some colors were metallic. "Experiment 1 in New Art Studio"
This painting on a 24 x 24 inch canvas was created in my future art studio, which is a RV camper garage now, but my husband has agreed to close it in for me for my NEW ART STUDIO! I'm so excited! With all my paints, I mixed with Flotrol and Elmer's Glue-All very well, THEN I diluted with water. Except for the black and white, I mixed the colors with Treadmill Lubricant. This is a "flip cup" technique on both paintings and I moved some paint around with a straw. You can watch the YouTube video on how I made this at: https://youtu.be/UEnnV1oF8WM
